Location and Facilities

We are located in the heart of uptown Denver, 1.5 miles east of the city center and one block from our major City Park, the home of the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Our facilities include three sites located within a block of each other. Our main building, a renovated Victorian mansion built in 1896, houses our administrative offices. This building has become a landmark identified not only by it fastidious restoration, but also by the richness of the surrounding gardens.
Adjacent to the building is our community garden in which our friends, neighbors and students share plots during the summer months. Our Herb Therapy Program is proud to showcase an herb garden here which demonstrates cultivation techniques for herbs adapted to Denver’s climate and soil.
Our classroom is located in another historic building just down the block overlooking the corner of Colfax and York Streets, the very heart of the Denver business renaissance. Within two blocks you will find the famous Tattered Cover Book Store, an exciting alternative movie house, many restaurants from small cafés to upscale full service venues, convenient public transportation and an array of small shops and businesses.
Just up the street the unmistakable aroma from our Natural Foods Chef Program kitchen will draw you in to the rich flavors that only come from superbly prepared whole foods. Again housed in a vintage 1904 building, our facility includes state of the art equipment coupled with the warmth and comfort of appointments from times past.
